Read before you pay

beseen.lol is a playful public leaderboard. One euro buys an advertising placement: your listing at position #1, until someone else pays. You are not buying a security, an investment, guaranteed exposure, or a fixed amount of time at the top — your reign may last seconds. That is the game.

1. Who you are contracting with

The board is operated by IP Strategy UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Neuss (“we”), whose details are in the Impressum.

Dodo Payments acts as our merchant of record. That means Dodo is the seller of record for the transaction: it takes the payment, handles VAT and sales tax, and issues your receipt. Dodo's own buyer terms apply to the payment itself alongside these terms. Everything about the listing and the ranking is between you and us.

2. What is sold

A single payment of €1 buys one placement: your listing is placed at position #1 of the public board the moment the payment is confirmed. The listing shows the website address, the X username and the category you supplied, a logo (retrieved from your website at your instruction, or uploaded by you — otherwise a monogram), plus its public click counter and payment count.

The ranking has one rule: the most recent payment ranks first. Every later payment by anyone moves your listing down one position.

Term — one year per euro

A listing is shown for one year from its most recent payment. Every euro paid on it — your own or a sponsor's — restarts that year. When the year passes without a new euro, the listing is removed from the board. Nothing renews by itself, nothing further is charged, and there is nothing to cancel — not paying is the cancellation.

Paying again for the same website does not create a second listing; it moves the existing one back to #1, increments its payment count and restarts its year.

Delivery

Placement is automatic and immediate: typically within seconds of payment confirmation and no later than 24 hours. No physical goods are shipped.

What is not included

No guarantee of traffic, clicks, exposure, duration at any position, business outcome or return of any kind. The click counts shown on the board are indicative: they count uses of the board's outbound links and make no claim beyond that.

3. How a contract is formed

Submitting the payment form is an offer. The contract is formed when the payment is confirmed and your listing is placed. We may refuse or reverse an entry, refunding it in full, only on objective grounds: where the content standards in clause 6 are not met, where Dodo Payments' acceptance policy prohibits the entry, where we are required to by law or by a competent authority, or where we reasonably suspect fraud or an unauthorised payment.

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract. Where you pay on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to do so.

4. Price and payment

ItemAmount
One placement (new spot or repeat)€1.00
Sponsoring an existing listing (clause 5)€1.00
Any other feeNone
CurrencyEuro (EUR)

The price includes VAT: one euro is the total that is charged, wherever you pay from. The VAT portion for your location is calculated by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, and itemised on your receipt. There is no subscription and no recurring charge — every euro is a separate, deliberate payment, and your payment details are never stored or charged again by us.

6. What you supply, and our standards

You provide a website address, an X username, a category and — at your choice — a logo: either the one your website already publishes, retrieved at your instruction during checkout, or an image you upload. You confirm that you own or are authorised to use all of it — the address, the username, the logo and what they point to — and you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display and reproduce them on the board and in our own promotion of the board, for as long as the listing is shown.

We refuse and refund entries that are unlawful or deceptive, that impersonate another party, or that promote malware, adult content, gambling, weapons, pharmaceuticals, hate material, or anything Dodo Payments' acceptance policy prohibits. The same standards apply to what a listed address later starts pointing at; a listing may be removed on those grounds after placement, with the last placement refunded.

7. Right of withdrawal

Consumers in the EU have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within fourteen days, without giving a reason. Your purchase has two components, and the right works differently for each:

If the placement has not yet happened, you can withdraw and receive the euro back in full. The full withdrawal instruction, the model withdrawal form, and the effects of withdrawal are in the Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Availability and liability

We aim to keep the board available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change the design or the mechanics; changes do not shorten the year a listing has already paid for.

We are liable without limit for injury to life, body or health, for intent and gross negligence, and under mandatory statutory liability. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation, and then only for foreseeable damage typical of this kind of contract, capped at the amount you paid. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by law.

9. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence. For merchants, the place of jurisdiction is Neuss, Germany.

Should any provision be invalid, the remainder stands.
